Staple diet on newspapers at newstands for the past week: SARS, the attack/invasion of Iraq (whicever way you see it), a still spiraling debate of morality regarding perpetrators of polygamy and the consequences on its victims, Leslie Cheung's suicide...
Had fun reading the last 2 weekly column by Chong Seau Ching, Stories for my Mother, in the Star. It's about "kiasu" parents pushing kids to excel in kindergarten instead of letting them learn through play. These parents should give those kids a break and let the kids actually have a fun and stressless childhood.
